Why FootGolf

What is FootGolf?

FootGolf is a precision sport where players kick a soccer ball into a cup in as few shots as possible. Its name is a portmanteau of "football" (meaning soccer) and "golf". It is closely related to golf. Simply put, it is golf with a soccer ball. It is a marriage made in heaven: footy and golf. Best game ever invented!!

This wonderful game is played for the most part, without the supervision of a referee.

The game depends on the integrity of the player to show consideration for other players and to abide by the rules.

All FootGolf players should conduct themselves in a very disciplined manner, demonstrating courtesy at all times and true sportsmanship, regardless of how competitive they may be.

This is the spirit of the FootGolf game.

FootGolf rules are based on the Rules of Golf, but with some considerations and particulars as detailed on this page, in the Official FIFG Rule Book.
